This is the end of ME and EE concept testing. Everything work fine as expected. But they have many things to be improve in the next version. Next step it is a big job, how to sync with camera? Anyone have an idea please share with me sir.

Normally my machine is used for real time playback. I tried capturing this clip from the HDMI channel. Until now, I’ve encountered many problems and am working on solving them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7DDlstZByk

Previously I posted on Facebook and linked from here. I’m not sure if I will face copyright issues on YouTube (Chandni movie) or not. It’s just a trailer. But I’ll try
This setup for capturing from HDMI output.

I think that working without a sprocket but still using the encoder might cause errors in cases where the size of the film roller is not appropriate or if there is slippage between the film and the film roller. So I tried to find another way and found that cheap laser detection of sprocket holes could only be used with 35mm film at low speeds. But I think this method would probably work with 8mm, 16mm, or any other film size that has 1 hole per frame at full speed. (1 of 35mm frame = 4 of 8mm frames, that’s 4 times) … ???
