Took a closer look at the manufacturer’s website and a listing on B&H photo. One of the pics on the B&H site (below) shows that the drive mechanism is basically a cylinder with two rubber O-rings. Clever idea. Not sure what is providing pressure on the top side. I like this idea.
In their videos they also claim the design keeps the film “perfectly flat.” I assume they don’t expect to see warped film like we would so I’m not sure how far that claim would stretch for a 60 year old print in poor shape.
I’m tempted to buy one to take it apart. Anyone have one already who could give us a peak inside?
