Sort of in a similar vein, and because the director popped up in the trailer, is the film Dawson City: Frozen Time about a huge collection of nitrate films found buried in an old swimming pool in Dawson City. You can check out the trailer here.

Saw it tonight, it’s excellent. It really covers everything about film preservation. Dawson city is also really great, more poetic and less technical.
