AvyScan Lab 4.2.4 — anamorphic films, more frame rates, and slides
Anamorphic Desqueeze (Expert version)
New filter for films shot with an anamorphic lens: the image width is multiplied by the lens factor (1.25, 1.33, 1.5 for Iscorama lenses, 1.75, 2 for CinemaScope, or any value from 1.00 to 2.50) to bring back the true proportions of the scene, without losing any vertical resolution
Frame rates and framing
Interpolation: new 29.97, 50, 59.94 and 60 fps rates (29.97 and 59.94 exact, as in NTSC), useful for deinterlaced VHS, plus a “Custom” choice for any rate from 1 to 120 fps
Crop: new “Input image ratio” option, which keeps the proportions of the image entering the Crop
Slides and photos: a clip made of a single image, exported as JPEG, PNG or TIFF, now gives one file named after the original image, instead of a folder with 00001
Everyday comfort
New preference “Start the preview at”: skip the leader at the start of each clip when you open it; a clip you have already viewed resumes where you left it
Larger, resizable Preferences window, with its sections in a column on the left
Input fields are confirmed by simply clicking next to them, like the Enter key
Sound: the level meter of the Sound Track panel follows playback again after the sound window has been opened
The optical sound node is now called “Optical Sound” in every language
